VFDB

The VFDB source provides access to IBES consensus, broker detail and aggregate data plus additional datasets stored in the VFDB database.

Request

For single stocks use IBES ticker code plus an optional modifier to select request options. The base request returns most common consensus fields plus a list of broker names covering that stock.

Fields are normally returned as string or double values as appropriate. For lists of stock codes the source returns arrays of string values.

For just cross-reference information about an IBES ticker, append "/XREF" to the basic request code.

For country aggregates use the two-character IBES country code and add "/C" to get aggregate values or "/C*" to get lists of stocks in that country.

For country-industry aggregates use the two-character IBES country code followed by the four-digit industry code and add "/CI" to get aggregate values or "/CI*" to get lists of stocks in that country-industry group.

For a list of IBES country codes request "/COUNTRY*".

For more detailed consensus fields request using the stock code and add "/CONCENSUSDETAIL". This returns fields for each consensus estimate including:

For per broker detail requests must be made including your company login and password for the VFDB database. This will be provided by your client service representative. The request qualifier is "/BROKERDETAIL" followed by "#" and the username, then a "," and the password.
